Heat 5 saw only one team qualify for the Grand Prix Final; Darrickwood who won both legs, the first easily by a clear nine laps. Other schools managed a decent tally, but they all came up short of the qualification standard by a few laps.

Several teams recovered from a poor first leg to post promising totals in the second leg, including Formula Schools veterans, Peers, who managed 10 laps.
